We warmly welcome you to learn French, discover Francophone cultures and become part of a friendly community.
Who are we?
The Alliance Française of Győr is an association, a language school and a cultural centre founded in 1992, located between Pannonhalma Abbey and the city of Győr, and a member of the international Alliance Française network. Its main mission is to promote the French language and Francophone cultures.
Throughout the year, it offers French courses for children, young people and adults, both in-person and online, as well as preparation for the DELF and DALF exams. It also organises a variety of cultural programmes that provide opportunities for meetings, exchanges and intercultural dialogue.

Join the Alliance Française de Győr community and enjoy the unique benefits of membership! As a member, you can take part free of charge in our regular activities, such as the conversation club, the Francophone Film Days held every March, and other cultural events. You can also suggest your own activities and help make the Alliance Française de Győr community even more active around Francophone cultures. The venue for your event can be chosen in consultation with the Alliance team.

GROUP COURSES / FEES
Do you enjoy learning in a group and making progress through interaction and collaborative learning?
Our DELF B2 preparation group courses are organised twice a year as 30-hour programmes: the first session starts in autumn and the second one in spring.

Individual lessons / Fees
Do you prefer personalised learning or would you like to focus on a specific skill? Individual lessons are made for you. Fully tailored to your needs, they are available either in person or online and allow you to improve your grammar, oral communication, writing skills or pronunciation, or to prepare for a specific goal, according to your expectations and schedule.

Language levels
A1 – Beginner level / 96 hours
A2 – Elementary level / 240 hours
B1 – Intermediate level / 400 hours
B2 – Intermediate level / 600 hours
C1 – Advanced level / 900 hours
C2 – Proficiency level / 1,000+ hours
EXAMS
DELF / DALF LANGUAGE EXAMS
At the Alliance Française of Győr, candidates can take the DELF (A1, A2, B1, B2) and DALF (C1, C2) French language examinations. These official monolingual French language diplomas are aligned with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and are officially recognised in Hungary and worldwide. Each exam consists of four sections assessing the following language skills:
- Listening comprehension
- Reading comprehension
- Written production
- Oral production
To pass the exam, candidates must obtain at least 50 points out of 100 in total, as well as a minimum of 5 points out of 25 in each section. Our courses provide targeted preparation for the DELF and DALF exams. Detailed official information about the exams is available on the website below:
