We warmly welcome you to learn French, discover Francophone cultures and become part of a friendly community.
Who are we?
The Alliance Française of Miskolc is an association, language school and cultural centre founded in 1987, located in the heart of Miskolc and a member of the international Alliance Française network. Its main mission is to promote the French language and Francophone cultures.
Throughout the year, it offers French courses for children, young people and adults, both in-person and online, as well as preparation for the DELF and DALF exams. It also organises a variety of cultural programmes that provide opportunities for meetings, exchanges and intercultural dialogue.

Joining the Alliance Française of Miskolc community means becoming part of a warm, welcoming and caring community passionate about the French language and Francophone cultures. You will have many opportunities to practise French and exchange with native speakers through our activities: raclette evenings, pétanque tournaments, exhibitions, competitions, quizzes… but also through music and, above all… by singing together!

GROUP COURSES / FEES
Do you enjoy learning in a group and making progress through the dynamics of exchanges? Course registration is open throughout the year. You can freely choose the number of hours according to your needs. Each class lasts 1 hour.
Our discounted rates for a 12-class package:
• 1 person: 40,800 HUF/person
• 2 people: 27,600 HUF/person
• 3 people: 21,600 HUF/person
• 4 people and more: 18,000 HUF/person
Single class: 3,500 HUF/hour
Individual lessons / Fees
Do you prefer personalised learning or would you like to focus on a specific skill? Individual lessons are made for you. Fully tailored to your needs, they are available either in person or online and allow you to improve your grammar, oral communication, writing skills or pronunciation, or to prepare for a specific goal, according to your expectations and schedule.
Our discounted rates for a 12-class package:

Language levels
A1 – Beginner level / 96 hours
A2 – Elementary level / 240 hours
B1 – Intermediate level / 400 hours
B2 – Intermediate level / 600 hours
C1 – Advanced level / 900 hours
C2 – Proficiency level / 1,000+ hours
EXAMS
DELF / DALF LANGUAGE EXAMS
At the Alliance Française of Miskolc, candidates can take the DELF (A1, A2, B1, B2) and DALF (C1, C2) French language examinations. These official monolingual French language diplomas are aligned with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and are officially recognised in Hungary and worldwide. Each exam consists of four sections assessing the following language skills:
- Listening comprehension
- Reading comprehension
- Written production
- Oral production
To pass the exam, candidates must obtain at least 50 points out of 100 in total, as well as a minimum of 5 points out of 25 in each section. Our courses provide targeted preparation for the DELF and DALF exams. Detailed official information about the exams is available on the website below:
